Olga Moore was a designer and painter, who studied and taught at Rutgers University. She traveled widely, and her art evolved in phases to consistently incorporate her varied interests such as fabrics and textiles from Morocco. She also taught painting and art history at UW Milwaukee. She was well recognized during her career, receiving grants, awards, and scholarships, and her work was exhibited internationally. She retired from Rutgers in 2004, and spent her retirement mostly in motion, living in Michigan, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia. Shortly before her death, she was employed as a painting instructor for several cruise ships, including the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth.
