George Tscherny
Born July 12, 1924, Budapest, Hungary. Grew up in Berlin, Germany. 1941 Emigrated to the U. S. Served in the U. S. Army in World War II. Studied graphic design at the Newark School of Fine and Insutrial Art. Attended Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York. 1950-- Packaging designer, Donald Deskey & Associates. 1953-- George Nelson & Associates. 1955 Opened his own office. Clients have included The Ford Foundation, W.R. Grace & Co., and Texasgulf Inc. Taught at the Visual School of Arts.
