Linda Thompson is currently Creative Director at Innovasia, a company offering environmentally sustainable interior products for commercial interiors. She began her career at Knoll Textiles after studying fine arts at UCLA. At Knoll, Thompson trained under Textiles’ Design Director, Barbara Rhodes-Segerer. She became a textile specialist in the Western Division at Knoll and Knoll International, and traveled throughout Europe.
In 1978, Thompson co-founded a new furniture and textile company, Sunar Textiles, with Robert Cadwallader, the former president of Knoll International. In 1987, Sunar merged with Earl F. Hauserman, forming Pallas Textiles. Thompson became Vice President of Marketing and Design at the newly formed company,
Thompson has become tremendously successful, winning awards for her upholstery, wall covering, and healthcare designs. In 2001, Thompson established her own design consulting firm offering color, textiles and interior design throughout the world. Thompson has designed and completed a variety of projects for individuals and companies, solidifying her reputation as one of the design industry’s most versatile professionals.
