Katsuhiko Hibino is an acclaimed contemporary artist in Japan known for his multidisciplinary style. Hibino was awarded a prize at Japan Graphic exhibition hosted by Parco, a Japanese department store in 1982 when Hibino was completing his studies at Tokyo University of the Arts and Music. Since then, he has actively produced a large number of graphics for commercial purposes between 1980s and 1990s, using handcraft techniques such as collage and drawing. In his graphic works, he consistently employs everyday materials such as cardboard and packaging tape. In his most recent series of work, Hibino often engages with local communities, offering an opportunity for people to participate.
