After graduating from Aichi University of Education, Shigeo Okamoto practiced as a product designer and later became a graphic designer. His designs often feature cosmic and mathematical images that suggest his futuristic viewpoint. He explores spatial relationships in two-dimensional forms through a placement of visual elements. He has been awarded several prizes at international competitions, including the Warsaw International Poster Biennale, International Biennial of Graphic Design Brno and ADC Awards New York.
