Diana Hobson was educated at the Royal College of Art in London. She was a pioneer in the pâte de verre technique, producing the thinnest and most transparent glass as possible. Hobson began experimenting with pâte de verre in the 1970s and became a pioneer of the medium. She works from her home and studio in the Santa Cruz Mountains in Northern California.
