The Needle and Bobbin Club
The Needle and Bobbin Club was established in New York in 1916 to promote interest in handmade fabrics, including lace, tapestry, embroidery, and weaving. Its members included enthusiasts and collectors from New York’s high society. For over 70 years, the club published a semi-annual bulletin that was part pattern-book and part journal of textile history and anthropology.
