George A. Hearn
George A. Hearn, a major art collector and good friend of the Hewitt family, organized a group of men in 1907 to financially assist the Cooper Union Museum. In 1919, Eleanor called him “Santa Claus,” a tribute to a patron who annually gave the museum “wonderfully suitable objects and generous gifts of money.”
