Maija Isola
Isola studied at the Helsinki Central School of Industrial Arts. In the 1960s began working at Marimekko where she introduced the iconic Unikko pattern, then produced the Primavera pattern. Having produced over 500 designs, it has been noted that Isola encompassed the Marimekko style and brand. She was influenced by traditional folk art and travel around the world.
