Robert Schneeberg
Robert Schneeberg (American, 1922-2008) served in the U.S. Army, then attended the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art (now the University of the Arts) in Philadelphia. After graduating in 1950, he worked as a freelance artist in the Philadelphia and New York areas. His work included illustrations for Cosmopolitan magazine. In 1954, he began a long career with Hallmark. Until his retirement in 1987, he worked from his Levittown, Pennsylvania studio to produce greeting cards, puzzles, and calendars. Schneeberg was also known for his assemblages, created from found and collected materials. He was married to Ann Schneeberg, with whom he had a daughter.
