Christian Fischbacher, the son of a farmer, founded his textile company at the young age of sixteen trading cotton fabrics woven by the farmer’s wives at the local market. Christian Fischbacher has remained a family-operated textile company since it opened in 1819. As a company Christian Fischbacher prides itself on creating textiles using high quality materials. The creative direction of the company evolves with each new generation. The current owners, Michael and Camilla Fischbacher, have upheld the standards the company has maintained throughout its history while also placing an emphasis on the company’s global reach.
