Wilhelm Kåge

Painter and ceramicist. Studied painting in Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. Pupil of Henri Matisse. Produced stoneware at Gustavberg facatory, where he served as Art director, 1917-1949. Later work influenced by ancient Chinese stoneware.
