Industrial designer. Received an industrial design degree from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. Littell formed a design partnership with fellow students William Katavalos and Douglas Kelly. In 1950s and 60s worked for Knoll and Herman Miller. Moved to Copenhagen in 1960, and then to Italy where he produced textile and furniture designs for European manufacturers. Also experimented with large-scale metal wall hangings which he called "luminars."
