Educated as an architect at the Milan Polytechnic, D'Urbino joined his fellow architect- designers, Jonathan de Pas, and Paolo Lamazzi to found the studio of de Pas, D'Urbino and Lamazzi, in Milan in 1961. D'Urbino was known for his own furniture designs in addition to those in collaboration with the studio. D'Urbino became a member of the Associazone per Il Disegno Industriale.
