Keiko Tanaka is a graduate of Kyoto Seika University’s Department of Material Expression. She joined minä perhonen in 2002, creating her first textile designs for the Spring/Summer 2003 collection. Tanaka’s design process includes drawing with ink and color pencils, as well as working in collage and in clay. She has created numerous iconic designs for the company. As Vice President, she works closely with Akira Minagawa on various projects, including retail shop design and development, product design for the interior and tabletop, and collaborations with other brands, such as The North Face, Senz Umbrellas, and mt paper tape.
