Artisti Barovier

Although numerous members of the Barovier family worked for Antonia Salviati, starting with Giovanni and Antonio in 1866, in 1878 Giovanni and his grandchildren Benevenuto, Giuseppe, Benedetto created Fratelli Barovier which shortly became Artisti Barovier. They continued to produce much specialized work for Antonio Salviati's firm as well as exhibiting in their own name. In 1895 the Barovier were the only non-classified competitors in an exhibition at Venice's Art Glass Museum, drawing admiration for the audacity of their technical and formal characteristics.
