David McIntosh is an automobile designer whose career at General Motors spanned nearly forty years, from 1964 to 2003. McIntosh joined GM after graduating from Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, California in 1964. Throughout his career, he worked in a variety of GM studios, creating designs for Buick, Chevrolet, and Cadillac. He also worked in GM’s Advanced Design Studio from 1973–85, where he created futuristic concepts for Corvette, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Firebird automobiles among others.
