Frank Hess
Frank Hess worked as a window dresser at Macy's before he was hired in 1926 by Miriam Haskell as her chief jewelry designer. Until 1960, Hess developed all prototypes for the company and Haskell decided which styles went into production. Hess's technical skill and artistic eye in jewelry built the Haskell reputation for supremely crafted and beautiful costume jewelry that incorporated exotic jewels and delicate wirework while often taking its inspiration from nature.
