This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Smithsonian Libraries and Archives as part of The Jazz Age: American Style in the 1920s.
Conceived and compiled around 1930 by Harry Craddock, the popular bartender at Londons Savoy Hotel, as a souvenir for his American clientele,The Savoy Cocktail Book featured colorful drawings of the New York skyline as complements to the pages of sophisticated beverage recipes.
It is credited Smithsonian Libraries, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Library TX951 .C76 1930b. Gift of George R. Kravis II..
