Ascent Lamp
This is a Ascent lamp. It was designed by Daniel Rybakken and made for Luceplan. It is dated 2013. Its medium is lathed, anodized and painted aluminum sheet, technopolymer, polyurethane rubber.
The Ascent lamp consists of a vertical black rod that supports a black, cone-shaped lamp shade. The shade moves up and down the rod on a track to provide a low level of light when positioned near the base or enough ambient light to fill a room when positioned at the top. The user adjusts the light in a manner that is direct, intuitive, and physical.
