Small Gray Vase, from Pizzelle series
This is a Small gray vase. It was designed by Emiliano Godoy and manufactured by Nouvel Studio. It is dated 2014. Its medium is mold blown glass.
The Pizzelle vases are created with a low-impact tool that acts much like a waffle maker to create a textured pattern on their rounded surfaces. The vases are produced in warm shades of amber and smoky gray as well as clear glass. The dimpled surfaces add dimensionality to shapes that are seemingly familiar, yet unique in their proportion and surface treatment. By seeking out sustainable materials and developing processes that rely on skilled labor and local materials, Godoy creates rich objects informed by solid values.
