Semplice Lamp
This is a Semplice lamp. It was designed by Industrial Facility, Naomi Yasuda, Sam Hecht and Kim Colin and manufactured by Oluce. It is dated 2013. Its medium is blown glass, metal.
In Semplice, the archetypal table lamp is examined and reduced to its simplest form. There is no base, no stem, and no supporting armature; the lamp is comprised entirely of the electrical housing and an inverted clear glass cone. A black electrical cord runs under the glass cone to a wall outlet. The object focuses the viewer’s attention on the notion of light itself.
