Platter (One of a Pair) Platter

This is a platter. It was manufactured by Derby Porcelain Factory. It is dated ca. 1784–1806 and we acquired it in 1926. Its medium is soft paste porcelain, vitreous enamel, gold. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Mrs. John Innes Kane. It is credited Bequest of Mrs. John Innes Kane.

Its dimensions are

On reverse: [1] crown above crossed batons and cursive "D", painted in purple or puce overglaze (Derby Porcelain Factory mark) [2] "5" or "4" or fleur de lys, painted in blue overglaze (rim)
