Brooch
This is a Brooch. It was designed by Arline Fisch. It is dated 1984 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is sheet silver, mosaic stone, rolled and compressed stainless steel mesh and knitted copper wire. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
Fisch used woven steel mesh and knitted copper wire to contrast with the flat silver sheets to produce a richly nuanced surface effect in this brooch.
