Tension and Slate Series Brooch
This is a Brooch. It was designed by Eva Eisler. It is dated 1991 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is silver, slate, cold connections. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
This brooch is a planar construct of silver and dark gray stone held together by tension. In Eisler's words, the combination of these materials "in an open configuration of geometrical/architectural forms...enable the wearer to feel [that they are] a part of the contemporary environment."
