Untitled (5) from the Compounding Fractions Series Necklace
This is a necklace. It was designed by Attai Chen. It is dated 2010 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is paper, paint, coal, glue, linen. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
Chen is attracted to nature’s cycle from growth to decay to new beginnings as expressed in his delicately rendered neckpiece created from discarded fragments of paper, one of the most ephemeral materials used in jewelry.
