Water Storage System
This is a Project. It is dated 2006. Its medium is plastic.
The low-cost, non-evaporative Water Storage System captures and stores monsoon rainwater, making water available during India’s long dry season. For many small farmers, there is either too much water during the rainy season or a water shortage during the dry season, when there is no water available for irrigation and drinking-water wells run dry. By providing a 10,000-liter plastic storage bag and enclosing it in a hand-dug pit, this system is one-fifth the cost of existing ferro-cement tanks.
