Wristband, Jawbone UP24
This is a Wristband. It was designed by Yves Béhar and manufactured by Jawbone. It is dated 2013. Its medium is hypoallergenic tpu rubber, nickel-plated tr-90 nylon, electronic components.
Today’s computational feedback systems take note of our actions, habits, and shopping preferences. Pedometers, thermometers, scales, devices for checking blood sugar or blood pressure were once single-purpose tools for self-monitoring. But contemporary obsession with data, metrics, and fitness has spawned a new variety of wearable "smart" devices that up the ante, not only for tracking, but for managing—even optimizing—our physical performance. The Jawbone UP wristband is one such personal feedback system. Worn 24/7, the data-collecting bracelet records the wearer’s level of physical activity, as well as the quality of sleep and eating habits, and communicates an instant summary. Available in multiple colors, the Jawbone UP’s flexible spring-steel inner core adjusts to any wrist size and contour. Wearable monitor technology is in its infancy, but the possibilities for tools that "get to know the wearer," which encourage individuals to track well-being, regulate behavior, and connect with doctors, can be very empowering.
