Model, Room 2022

This is a Model. It is dated 2017. Its medium is cardstock and mirror paper; installed 2017, edition hotel, art basel, miami beach, florida, usa. It is a part of the department.

“For Room 2022, we invited visitors into a deceptively normal hotel guest room. The window became a cinema. The final image of the film was a single line of light, which split apart to allow visitors to enter a series of mirrored, maze-like corridors. This maze playfully proposed what a hotel might look like if it represented the combined imaginations of all its occupants.”

It is credited Courtesy of Es Devlin.
