This is a Poster. It was designed by Keith Haring and made for Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company.

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Brooklyn Academy of Music as part of Willi Smith: Street Couture.

It is dated 1984. Its medium is lithograph on paper. It is a part of the department.


Out of the six interdisciplinary collaborators in Secret Pastures, half were lost to AIDS within a period of just five years: Willi Smith in 1987, Arnie Zane in 1988, and Keith Haring in 1990. The AIDS crisis decimated a generation of artists and thinkers who played a major role in New York’s creative community.
