Equitable Mobility, Detroit 2030
This is a Equitable Mobility, Detroit 2030. It was designed by Shriya Garg, Woonghee Chung, Maria Luisa Rossi, College for Creative Studies, Jan Moeller, Kailin Wang, Dong Wu, Zeping Wang, Wei Wang and Fei Xei. It is dated 2017–18. It is a part of the department.
Part of a citywide effort to use design as a driver for equitable development, Detroit Equitable Mobility 2030 explores innovative neighborhood mobility proposals. Autonomous mobile pods bring 21st-century curriculum directly to youth in each neighborhood. Larger mobile units transform daily commutes into tailored place-based entrepreneurship training and mentorship for the neighborhood’s young adults. Mobile health units collect relevant data to generate nutrition plans and menus.
