Head Cloth (Indonesia)

This is a Head cloth. It is dated early 20th century and we acquired it in 1983. Its medium is silk, gilded paper wound on a silk core and its technique is warp and weft ikat, warp-faced plain weave with continuous and discontinuous supplementary weft. It is a part of the Textiles department.
