This is a cup and saucer. It was possibly by Pierre-Théodore Buteux and manufactured by Sèvres Porcelain Manufactory and painted by Vieillard and Antoinette-Marie Noualhier (née Huet). It is dated 1779–1787 and we acquired it in 1983. Its medium is porcelain (probably soft paste), vitreous enamel, gold. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
It is credited Museum purchase from Charles E. Sampson Memorial Fund.
