This study is derived from a photograph published in the New York Times on April 11, 1958 illustrating the destruction of anti-matter as viewed through a bubble chamber filled with liquid hydrogen. The borders contain motifs and phrases from the artist's translation of "The Star Spangled Banner," Key of C.

It is credited Gift of the Estate of John De Cesare.
