Sidewall, Mr. Ino
This is a sidewall. It was designed by Javier Gutierrez. It is dated 2010 and we acquired it in 2010. Its medium is machine printed on paper. It is a part of the Wallcoverings department.
Mr. Ino was designed by Javier Gutiérrez, better known as Inocuo, a renowned graffiti artist and the founder of InocuoTheSign, a Spanish design studio established in 2002. At the time of proposed acquisition, the studio's team includes David Fernández, a Spanish illustrator knowledgeable in surf and skate culture, and Txema Alguacil, an illustrator and former advertising agency art director. The studio has carried out commissions for magazine illustrations, trademark images, and CD covers. Their works ranges from designing textiles for Nike and Levi’s to creating ad campaigns for automotive companies such as Volkswagen and Nissan.
Mr. Ino combines elements of graffiti and calligraphy and complements the museum’s collection of both contemporary and typographic papers.
