Roundel, St. Martin healing the lame and blind beggars against their wishes

This is a Roundel. It is dated 15th century and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is linen foundation with silk, metal-wrapped silk and its technique is two layers of plain weave embroidered with split and stem stitches using silk and couched metal-wrapped silk. It is a part of the Textiles department.
