Pair Of Earrings (USA)
This is a Pair of earrings. It was manufactured by Tinsel Trading Company. It is dated 1860–1910 and we acquired it in 2006. Its medium is cut steel. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
These earrings show the use of cut steel for a style of jewelry that was also popular in precious stones. Here, we see the steel cut with facets and arranged in a pendant, neo-classical style. These earrings would enhance our knowledge of both the American jewelry fashion produced for the middle class and the firms that produced it.
