This is a Side chair. It was designed by George Nakashima and made by George Nakashima. It is dated ca. 1966 and we acquired it in 1997. Its medium is walnut, hickory, other woods. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

On underside of seat: pencil markings: [1] thick intersecting lines(?) (partially obscured by front stretcher) [2] two triangles facing inward (rear left quadrant; shape reminiscent of a Nakashima butterfly joint)
