Art Sims, graduated from Michigan State University in 1975. He began his graphic design career in New York City as Associate Designer for CBS Records and subsequently relocated to Los Angeles where he was hired as Director of Art/Design for Capitol Records. At Capitol, he designed record covers, corporate logos and identities, and advertising campaigns for consumer and trade ads. In 1980, Sims created his own design firm, 11:24 Design. His clients include Stevie Wonder Productions, Quincy Jones Productions, Eddie Murphy Productions, and MCA Records. Sims also has worked in the areas of film, television, and video.
These posters have been reviewed by Marilyn Symmes, Ellen Lupton, and Gail Davidson. Konstanze Bachmann has also reviewed them for conservation problems. She notes small nicks and creases at corners, otherwise the condition is fine.
