Bottle
This is a Bottle. It is dated early 18th century and we acquired it in 1995. Its medium is labradorite, gold, carved stone cameos. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
Small decorative containers for holding perfume were carried by both men and women during the 18th century. These dainty vessels were fashioned from hard stones and displayed fine gold-work with flowing rococo ornamentation. (Design for Life, 1997-98).
