Pleated Fan (possibly France)

This is a Pleated fan. It is dated ca. 1840 and we acquired it in 1991. Its medium is paper leaf with gilded and hand-colored lithograph, pierced ivory sticks with silver foil, mother-of-pearl washer at rivet. It is a part of the Textiles department.

It is credited Gift of Unknown Donor.
