This is a sauce boat. It was designed by Eric Ravilious and manufactured by Wedgwood. It is dated ca. 1930–40 and we acquired it in 1991. Its medium is glazed porcelain. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

On base, in green underglaze: "HARVEST FESTIVAL / PERSEPHONE / DESIGNED BY / RAVILIOUS / OF ETRURIA / WEDGWOOD / MADE IN / ENGLAND / & BARLASTON"; impressed: "WEDGWOOD / 2S53"
