This is a posset pot. It was manufactured by de Paeuw (the Peacock Factory). It is dated 1705–40 and we acquired it in 1986. Its medium is tin-glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Walter Phelps Warren. It is credited Bequest of Walter Phelps Warren.

Its dimensions are

12 x 21 x 21 cm (4 3/4 x 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 in.)

It has the following markings

On bottom of body and lid, in underglaze blue: "DPAUW" (De Paauw factory)
