Sampler

This is a Sampler. It is dated late 18th–early 19th century and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is linen and silk embroidery on linen foundation and its technique is embroidered in pattern darning and deflected element work on plain weave foundation with. It is a part of the Textiles department.
