Sampler (Spain)

This is a Sampler. It was embroidered by Tomasa Ynocenya Reg. It is dated early 19th century and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is silk embroidery on linen foundation and its technique is embroidered in cross, satin, stem, chain, four-sided, and back stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Susan J. Brown and bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer. It is credited Bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer.
