Sampler (Mexico)

This is a Sampler. It is dated late 19th century and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is glass beads and cotton on cotton foundation and its technique is embroidered in overcasting with withdrawn element work on plain weave foundation; triangular tabs of looping using beads. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer. It is credited Bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer.
