This is a Sampler of embroidery and crochet. It is dated late 19th century and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is cotton and its technique is embroidered in satin, fishbone, buttonhole, running, cross, and double running stitches, with deflected element work, withdrawn element work, and looping on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
