Sampler (unfinished) (Netherlands)

This is a Sampler (unfinished). It was embroidered by Jacoba von Geneet. It is dated 1790s and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is silk and cotton embroidery on cotton foundation and its technique is embroidered in cross stitch and stem stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
