Rebozo (shawl) (Mexico)

This is a Rebozo (shawl). It is dated late 18th or early 19th century and we acquired it in 1949. Its medium is silk, metal-wrapped silk core and its technique is embroidered plain weave with supplementary warp. It is a part of the Textiles department.
