Sidewall (England)

This is a sidewall. It was manufactured by Crown Wallcoverings Ltd.. It is dated 1945 and we acquired it in 1947. Its medium is machine-printed paper. It is a part of the Wallcoverings department.

Figural landscape design with two alternating scenes: a shepherdess resting at a tree with her sheep while a young man observes, and a young couple toys with a caged bird. The two scenes merge flawlessly into one another creating multiple, staggered points of interest, with each conveying a sense of romance.
